Craving crisp chicken tenders? Need quick service but similarly fresh quality? Look no further, because in a leap of faith and business expansion, PDQ chose North Las Vegas as the chain’s first restaurant west of Texas. PDQ, which stands for People Dedicated to Quality, features chicken sandwiches, tenders, fries, shakes, salads and fresh-baked cookies. The chain caters to health-conscious customers by measuring sugar content, banning microwaves and freezers and creating sauces without any preservatives, according to its website. All menu items are less than $10, with combo meals starting at $7.69. Meals include fresh tenders meals at $7.29 for three pieces, $8.29 for four or $9.29 for five. Kids meals for children 10 or younger start at $3.99. The thick-cut chicken tenders are served hot and with a choice of fresh-cut fries or blueberry coleslaw on the side. For dipping sauce, patrons can chose from seven homemade options: Bleu Cheese, Buffalo Bleu, Chipotle BBQ, Creamy Garlic, Honey Mustard, Ranch and Sweet Heat. In addition, the restaurant offers Spicy Buffalo tenders, along with grilled chicken or crispy chicken sandwiches and grilled turkey breast or crispy turkey breast sandwiches for $4.29 each or $7.39 for a meal. Salads start at $6.29 and include crispy chicken, grilled chicken and chicken Caesar with a choice of seven homemade dressings. To wash down the food, traditional vanilla, chocolate or strawberry shakes are $2.99 for 14 ounces or $4.29 for 20. Specialty shakes include Oreo, Heath, malt, chocolate peanut butter or seasonal flavors and start at $3.49. Cheerwine, a cherry-flavored soda and a Southern favorite, also is available here. The store features an open kitchen for customers to see the food as it’s prepared. The restaurant also has a drive-thru window for customers on the go. Catering is available.
