You can get free food in Las Vegas if you were born on Leap Day

If your birthday is Feb. 29, you only really get to celebrate every four years (of course, you're technically one-fourth as old as the rest of us, so there are consolations). That's a lot of missed cake, so a few local businesses are doing what they can to make it up to you.

Buca di Beppo, which has four locations in the valley, is offering free meatballs and spaghetti for those whose birthday is Feb. 29 — and the deal is good from Friday through Monday.

If you celebrate on Monday at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road, or the one on the Strip at 3771 Las Vegas Blvd. South, you can get a free entree from the Leaplings Eat Free menu: the Legendary Burger; Twisted Mac, Chicken & Cheese; Veggie Leggie; a hickory-smoked pulled-pork sandwich; a honey-mustard grilled chicken sandwich; or a grilled chicken caesar salad.

And the 10 valley locations of Villa Italian Kitchen are offering a free slice to Leap Babies on Monday.

ID required for all, of course.
