If you're up for a romantic evening with that special someone, you might want to consider Bardot Brasserie at Aria. Not only is it romantic, it's a semifinalist for Best New Restaurant in the 2016 James Beard Foundation Awards. Other local semifinalists are Elizabeth Blau and Kim Canteenwalla's Blau and Associates for Outstanding Restaurateur and Rick Moonen of RM Seafood and Rx Bistro at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place for Best Chef: West. The finalists will be announced March 15 in San Francisco.

Hard Rock's 35 Steaks + Martinis restaurant is offering a special prix-fixe menu — three courses with an entree of Scottish salmon, pan-roasted chicken or 8-ounce filet mignon — for $60 per person or $110 per couple. The resort's Mr. Lucky's 24/7 is offering Prime Cincinnati Chili for $14.99 and Pink Taco a barbecued pulled-pork quesadilla for $12 or short-rib enchiladas for $14. The specials are good through March 5.
Family fun
Take the family to Viva Mercado's, because the restaurant at 9440 W. Sahara Ave. is celebrating its 25th anniversary Tuesday and invites you to join in. From Tuesday through March 31, Viva Mercado's will offer a quesadilla with guacamole and sour cream, sopa de fideos and chicken fajita for two for $25.
Solo trip
Here's a quick in-and-out lunch for those days when you don't have time to dine with the gang: Siegel's 1941 at the El Cortez has introduced its 30-Minute Express Lunch, available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Choices are a Carolina pulled-pork sandwich, iceberg wedge salad, cup of soup and half salad, spaghetti and meatballs or seven-layer Lasagna Bolognese. Let the hostess know when you arrive to ensure you get out in a half-hour.

With the weather more conducive to al fresco dining, the patio at Libre Mexican Cantina at Red Rock Resort would be a great place to enjoy Taco Tuesday, with all-you-can-eat tacos and all-you-can-drink Casamigos Tequila for $24 all evening. Taco varieties include chicken, steak, pork and mahi mahi.
