Can’t get to EDC? Watch it from home

The Electric Daisy Carnival has long been sold out, but fear not, fuzzy-booted friends, if you don’t have a ticket, there’s still a way to experience this year’s festivities

For the first time, EDC will be broadcast live online via the website for promoter Insomniac Events (www.insomniac.com).

More than 50 cameras placed on and around the festival’s eight stages as well as on various carnival rides, art attractions and even the quadcopters flying above will capture the larger-than-life spectacle that is EDC.

The broadcasts will air from 8:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. Friday-Sunday and will not be reshown.

For those who will be attending EDC in the flesh, there’s a new place to score that LED hula hoop with the opening of a 7,000 square foot, pop-up “rave and festival fashion superstore” at Planet Hollywood.

In addition to offering such EDC essentials as light-up gloves and all manner of fluffy apparel, the 2014 EDC Las Vegas Rave Superstore will host meet and greet sessions with various EDC performers.

The store will be open from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Thursday and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
