Cowabunga Bay Water Park season starts March 28

Attention families of Las Vegas: Cowabunga Bay Water Park will open its second season of slide-y fun on March 28 with two new raft rides.

The people at the water park say the new “Wild Surf” is a four-person raft ride that drops you 60 feet “through an enclosed flume,” and then you enter “the swell of a mammoth man-made wave,” giving you hang-time and a landing in a pool.

The other new ride, “Beach Blanket Banzai,” will make you “splash over 600 feet of twists and turns,” with an overall 60-foot change in elevation.

Season passes cost $50-$90, and season-parking costs $35, which gets you access to 23 acres of lazy rivers, nine water slides, four pools, and a kids play area. It’s open March 28-April 5; the weekends of April 11-May 17; and daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
