On supporting herself in L.A. while waiting for that first big break:

“I was a bar mitzvah dancer. I worked for a DJ company, and it was usually me and another girl and a DJ and we’d lead (party guests in) the cha-cha and the Slide. . I had a lot of weird jobs. I worked as a waitress. I worked promoting a restaurant in The Grove in a spandex dress, which was awful. Sometimes we’d work Oktoberfest parties or, like, the science department of USC’s Christmas party. (Laughs) It was so random.”
