Olivia Newton-John films video with impersonators while she searches for one

Olivia Newton-John has yet to pick the best impersonator of her. Give her time, people. The contest is just now underway. But Britney? Or even Steven Tyler? She already found them.

A new video for a single teaming the pop legend up with daughter Chloe Lattanzi surrounds the two with some of Las Vegas' favorite impersonators and drag stars.

Newton-John is back at the Flamingo this week, on the heels of "You Have to Believe," a clubby remake of her "Xanadu" hit "Magic." The song has put the singer back on a Billboard chart for the first time in 23 years.

The song — officially credited to Dave Aude "featuring Olivia Newton-John and Chloe Lattanzi" — is No. 3 on this week's Billboard chart for dance club songs.

Dance producer and DJ Aude had approached Newton-John about remixing one of her hits, and mother and daughter had wanted to do something together. When all parties came together, Chloe wrote new verses for the original chorus.

The video was shot in locations including the Neon Museum and Share Nightclub.

Even though it was done on a weekday, "It definitely felt like a party," says Derrick Barry, who does his Britney Spears drag impression at both Share (at after-parties on the nights Spears plays Planet Hollywood) and in the "Divas Las Vegas" revue at The Linq.

"The coolest part for me was there were look-alikes from every genre," Barry added. The video shoot included Barry's "Divas" co-star Larry Edwards as Tina Turner but also nondrag performers, including "Legends in Concert" performer Chris VanDahl as Steven Tyler and Harry Shahoian as Elvis Presley.

"Olivia knew which characters she wanted," adds "Proud Larry" Edwards, who says Newton-John "specifically asked for me to be a part of it" after the two met a few years ago in Sydney, Australia.

Newton-John shot her part of the video separately after recording her vocals in the recording studio at The Palms. Lattanzi is the 29-year-old daughter of the singer and actor Matt Lattanzi, who, oddly enough, met Newton-John while both were making "Xanadu." She filmed in the club with the local performers.

"She was just as sweet as her mom," Barry says. "It probably made her more comfortable (to perform with) a bunch of look-alikes. I think that makes any scene more fun when you're out there with some of Vegas' best tribute artists."

Speaking of ...

Saturday is the last day to enter the "You're the One That I Want" contest to find an Olivia tribute artist. The contest is endorsed by the singer but run by her Flamingo roommate show, "Legends." The contest, along with the "Legends" cameos in the "Believe" video, make for what is a surprisingly rare collaboration between two Las Vegas shows sharing the same stage.

The winner will be selected by a panel including the singer — who also will "crown" her (or him?) — and be given the chance to join the "Legends" rotation. Videos can be submitted through legendsinconcert.com. If you're the type who puts things off until the last minute, figure you can film your video in the afternoon and keep the garb on for a Halloween party on Saturday night.

Or, if you're just a fan who is already dressing up like "Grease" or "Xanadu" Livvy for Halloween somewhere besides Las Vegas, you can enter an Instagram photo for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas to see both shows.

If there ain't nothin' like the real thing to you, Newton-John sings at the Flamingo through Saturday and then returns Nov. 17 to 24.
