Next week is soft-shell crab week at Emeril Lagasse’s Las Vegas restaurants, with each offering three or more special soft-shell crab dishes for lunch and dinner, starting at $20. At Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian, they’ll be a soft-shell crab BLT at lunch and an appetizer, salad and risotto entree at dinner. Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House at the MGM Grand will offer a soft-shell crab croquette monsieur, a crab and citrus salad and spicy crab linguine at lunch, and tempura-fried soft-shell crab, grilled crab and jicama salad, soft-shell crab and vegetable ratatouille and Abita Amber-battered crab and New York Strip at dinner. And Table 10 at the Palazzo will serve a soft-shell crab sandwich at lunch and a crab and sweet-onion salad and sauteed crab with fava beans at dinner. The special will be available from Monday through April 19. …

Local outlets of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will give a free 12-ounce cafe vanilla mocha or coffee and a mini-scone or muffin, courtesy of Zappos.com, to anyone who stops in between 8 and 10 a.m. Tuesday, which is Tax Day. There are eight participating locations in the valley. ..

Also for Tax Day, Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas, 3771 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is inviting customers to “Sing For Your Supper” beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Hosted by Paul Shortino of “Raiding the Rock Vault” and formerly of Quiet Riot and Rough Cutt, the event will involve a free dinner entree to anyone who sings a complete song. …

A farmer’s market in celebration of Earth Day is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday on the plaza in front of Las Vegas City Hall at 495 Main St. More than 15 vendors will be offering organic fruits, vegetables and herbs, as well as local honey and honeycomb, vegan baked goods, kettle corn, fresh pasta, gourmet sauces and artistic creations such as jewelry and scarves. A city press release notes that the market coincides with a city council meeting, for those interested in multi-tasking. Earth Day is April 22. …

To celebrate the opening of its store at The Linq, Ghirardelli is offering the special High Roller Sundae through the end of May. A tribute to the new observation wheel, it has three scoops of vanilla ice cream, three kinds of fudge, Ghirardelli chocolate sauce, whipped cream, chopped almonds and — of course — a cherry.
