These Las Vegans are great at faking it

I have no idea what faking is.

Faking might not even be a thing.

For all I know, the producers of “Fake Off” (10 p.m. Mondays, truTV) could have created it out of thin air for the sake of a televised competition.

But whatever it is, the competition’s Las Vegas-based troupe Kristef Strikes Back is apparently among the best at it.

According to the show’s press notes: “The art of faking is the combination of theatre, dance, acrobatics, illusion, black light, shadow puppetry and performance technologies to tell a story. Think Cirque du Soleil meets ‘America’s Got Talent.’ Each week, the performance teams are challenged to create a totally original act that reimagines a theme or moment in pop culture to wow the audience and the judges to see who’s truly got the skills and imagination to be named America’s Fake-Off Champions.”
