‘Do It Up

Get your hair off your neck this summer with these five looks. Hair and makeup artist Whitney Urichcuk, of One Luv Agency, shows you how.

Step 1: Brush hair back with a paddle brush.

Step 3: Secure hair in ponytail at the nape of the neck.

Step 4: Take ponytail and twist clockwise into a rope.

Step 5: Take twisted hair and wrap it around the ponytail holder to form a bun, secure with 15 to 20 bobby pins. The ponytail holder helps create a more stable bun.

Step 6: Smooth out hair and apply a firm hold hair spray. Try TIGI Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play, $15.96, Drugstore.com.

Step 1: Brush hair back with a paddle brush.

Step 2: Apply a single drop of serum to palms and thoroughly run the shine through hair. Try TIGI S Factor Dream Drops, $30, Ulta.

Step 3: Secure hair in ponytail at the nape of the neck.

Step 4: Split ponytail in three and tease each section for volume then smooth with a paddle brush.

Step 5: Coil the end of the left and right sections upward into a circle toward the ponytail and secure with bobby pins. Apply hair spray and smooth. Try TIGI Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play, $15.96, Drugstore.com.

Step 6: Split middle section into two and warp completely around the left and right portions, secure with bobby pins underneath and apply hair spray.

Step 3: Start with the top half of hair, gathering it at the middle of the back of the head to get your positioning right.

Step 4: Then grab the remainder of your hair, brushing it smooth as you gather.

Step 5: Secure with a ponytail holder and pull hair tight.

Step 6: Take a section of the hair from the bottom, wrapping it counterclockwise around the ponytail holder and secure with bobby pins underneath the tail. Apply hair spray and smooth. Try TIGI Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play, $15.96, Drugstore.com.

Step 5: Take pieces of the hair, bend into curls and pin them randomly to head. Repeat the process in an upward motion until all hair is up.

Step 3: Pull hair into a low ponytail on the right side of the nape.

Step 4: Twist hair into a rope in a counterclockwise direction.

Step 5: Pull the hair upward. Tuck the ponytail under at the top for a clean edge or let the curled ends stick out for a messier look. You can secure the ponytail at the top with bobby pins if necessary.

Step 6: Insert bobby pins to the right side of the rope to secure.
