• Are handbags status symbols? For many women, handbags have become status symbols and no longer just a convenient place to stash all your essentials. Like clothing, it can convey your taste, style or sense of fashion.
• What does this bag say about you? It's a reflection of me. It's roomy, expansive and allows me to always keep things nearby that are vital to me, whether they're yoga-related or just bring me comfort. ... There is a simplicity in the design and I look for simplicity and balance in all aspects of my life.
• If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? That I look for the spiritual in everyday life and I'm into yoga.
• What's the most important item you've carried in your bag? Cell phone
• What's the strangest item you've carried in your bag? Chai black tea bag. I'm hooked on chai tea and love having it handy to warm my soul.
• Tell us about the first special bag you owned. I'm originally from New York City. Back in the '80s I purchased a T. Anthony limited. It was ridiculously expensive, but I adored the soft leather and the look. It was a small shoulder bag and very unique.
• Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? Love them. Prices are great compared to the real deal and it's hard to tell the difference from the original.
• Image is ... very important because it plays a key role in how we are perceived by others. Plus, how we perceive ourselves influences how we see the world around us.
• What's in your bag? Yoga Sanctuary class schedule, yoga eye pillow, Mala meditation beads, aromatherapy oil, chai black tea bag, favorite book on spiritual wisdom.
