• Handbag: This is a Gucci bag that I found at a secondhand store for $1.50 more than 15 years ago. It was an off-white color but in poor condition so I had it dyed and it has been my go-to evening bag ever since.
• Are handbags status symbols? Unfortunately, they are. A handbag is a woman's way of expressing herself regardless of what she is wearing. The right bag can add pizzazz or elegance to the simplest outfit.
• What does this bag say about you? I like to find things that are unique and that nobody else has.
• If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? They would think I was a drag queen.
• What's the most important item you've carried in your bag? My lip gloss. You don't want to be the girl in the bathroom who has to borrow makeup from the girl next to you.
• What's the strangest? I carry little alcohol pads because I'm very germ-phobic.
• Tell us about the first special bag you owned. It was my first Gucci bag. It was small and tan and it was given to me by my husband on a birthday trip to San Francisco. He was just starting his business and we were financially strapped so I was not expecting it at all.
• Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? Hate them. It seems deceptive.
• Image is ... what everyone first sees, but you better have something else to offer besides a pretty face.
• What's in your bag? MAC lip gloss, cash, lucky gold angel, eyelash glue, teasing comb, travel hairspray.
