Show Us Your Purse
March 4, 2010 - 12:00 am
• Who? Whitney Lefler, performer in "Le Reve" at Wynn Las Vegas
• Location: Wynn Theater
• Handbag: LeSportsac tote
• Are handbags status symbols? In a way I think they are. You always see celebrities in magazines sporting the latest trends in expensive handbags, bags that a normal person wouldn't be able to afford.
• What does this bag say about you? I bought this purse because of all of the patterns and colors. I guess you can say I'm a very loud and hyper person. We fit together very well.
• If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? My bag is very unorganized. Honestly, they would probably think I'm a complete slob. It's full of crumpled up receipts and candy wrappers.
• What's the most important item you've carried in your bag? Snacks. I spend a lot of time at rehearsal. Sometimes I need a quick bite to eat.
• What's the strangest item you've carried in your bag? My clip-in hair extensions. It seems completely normal to me, but my friends freak out and, at first, think I'm carrying around a dead animal in my bag!
• Tell us about the first special bag you owned. I got my first bag at a dance competition on my first trip to New York City when I was 14. It reminds me of New York and I felt like I was so cool.
• Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? Love 'em! Why spend a bundle of money for one bag when I could spend the same amount of money and get multiple bags that look the same?
• Image is ... important because it is a reflection of who you are and your personal style.
• What's in your bag? 1. Flip-flops (I need some backup in case my feet start to hurt.), 2. Playing cards (That's all we do in between shows.), 3. M&M's, 4. Jo Malone lotion, 5. "Le Reve" key chain, 6. "Are You There Vodka, It's Me, Chelsea?" by Chelsea Handler (She is so funny!)
