Show Us Your Purse

■ Who? Milissa Marsh, director of private dining at Strip House

■ Location: Strip House

■ Handbag: Guess hobo bag

■ Are handbags status symbols? No. I think women purchase handbags to feel great about themselves. Admittedly, my obsession is with shoes. I will spend money on a pair of amazing shoes over the price of a purse.

■ What does this bag say about you? I'm refreshing and fun.

■ If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? This cracks me up. They would be surprised and a little scared. I am always prepared for a last minute anything, especially traveling.

■ What's the most important item you've carried in your bag? I had to transfer a diamond necklace from one event to another.

■ What's the strangest item you've carried in your bag? A can opener

■ Tell us about the first special bag you owned. I was 5 years old. My mom bought me a pair of black patent leather shoes and a matching purse. I would dress it up with my mom's pearls and a red bow in my hair.

■ Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? Love 'em! As long as you love the purse, I say buy it, no matter the price.

■ Image is ... the perception or symbol that you reflect to others.

■ What's in your bag? Blackberry (What did we ever do without them? I would be lost without it. My emails and calendar of events and parties must be accessible.), ChapStick (I always, always carry it.), wine key (I am always ready for a great bottle of wine.), calculator (Many times I have to calculate what will work best for a party.), iPod (I go for a run right after work. Gotta have the tunes.), Cottonelle wet wipes.
