Mozzarella sticks, lobster rolls and more coming to McDonald’s

Will mozzarella sticks, lobster rolls, chorizo breakfast bowls and made-to-order salads soon accompany Big Macs and fries on the McDonald's breakfast menu?

According to Chief Executive Steve Easterbrook, it's all a possibility.

The Illinois-based burger chain, working to woo back millions of customers who stopped eating there in the third quarter, said Tuesday it will add mozzarella sticks to its 2016 menus at 14,000 United States restaurants, according to the New York Post.

The company is also test-marketing lobster rolls, chorizo breakfast bowls and made-to-order salads at additional locations. That's in addition to its all-day breakfast, which started last month.

“We are regaining momentum, and our turnaround blueprint is working,” Easterbrook said, according to the New York Post.

The best part about the mozzarella sticks? They're only $1, for three.
