A 69-year-old Las Vegas man critically injured in a two-vehicle crash Dec. 10 in the west valley has died.

Las Vegas police said at 10:50 a.m. Dec. 10, the driver of a 2020 Tesla Model 3 was traveling west on West Desert Inn Road, near El Capitan Road, when the driver slowed to a stop for an emergency vehicle. A 2016 Kia Soul traveling west then struck the rear of the Tesla. The Kia’s driver, William Andress, was taken to University Medial Center with serious injuries.

The driver of the Tesla stayed at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment.

Andress died Sunday afternoon, the Clark County coroner’s office said Tuesday. His death was ruled an accident from blunt force injuries.

His death marked the 111th traffic-related fatality Las Vegas police have investigated this year.
