2 face multiple charges in Henderson car burglaries

Two people who police said burglarized vehicles for the last six months were arrested on Friday, a Henderson spokeswoman said Tuesday.

Jessica Strong, 28, and Bryan Richee-Wilinski, 34, were taken to the Henderson Detention Center and were facing charges of stolen property, possession of stolen firearms and vehicle, and burglary, spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.

The burglaries began in May, Henderson police said. Strong and Richee-Wilinski would not break windows or force their way into vehicles, but would open doors that were unlocked, according to police.

A police task force made their case by gathering evidence and surveillance video from residents, Richards said.

During their arrest, police recovered GPS navigation systems, firearms and tools, he said.

Since there are no police reports filed for some of these items, returning them to their owners can be a challenge, Richards said. Reports can be filed at www.cityofhenderson.com/police.
