3 convicted of sending drugs from Vegas to Guam

A Guam jury has convicted three people of mailing drugs from Las Vegas to Guam.

Pacific Daily News reported that Francisco C. Arias, Eder J. Cortez-Zelaya and Corinna M. Concepcion were convicted Thursday of drug trafficking for their involvement in sending packages containing methamphetamine to Guam.

Cortez-Zelaya is from Nevada.

Nine other defendants have signed plea deals in the case.

Arias and Cortez-Zelaya were convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to commit money laundering and unlawful use of mail to distribute methamphetamine.

Concepcion was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Clyde Lemons said he will seek sentences of at least 10 years.
