Coroner identifies man found dead in NLV road-rage incident

The Clark County coroner Sunday has identified the man who was left dead after a possible road-rage shooting in North Las Vegas near Craig Road and North Fifth Street early Friday.

Joseph Deion Jackson, 35, of Las Vegas was found dead in a car by police about 3:30 a.m.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area and witnesses at the scene told police that the shooting was related to a road-rage incident, police spokeswoman Ann Cavaricci said.

Jackson was a passenger of the vehicle fired upon, not the driver, Cavaricci said. He was shot once.

No one else was injured during the shooting, she said. The case is under investigation.

North Las Vegas police are searching for a dark-colored Mitsubishi Eclipse in connection with the shooting.
