Coroner identifies man shot, killed in North Las Vegas home

The man who was shot and killed Thursday at a North Las Vegas home was identified Saturday by the Clark County coroner's office.

North Las Vegas police were called at 12:20 a.m. Thursday to the 4300 block of Valley Regal Way, where they found 35-year-old Darrian Dewayne Moten, of Las Vegas, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he died.

Moten's cause of death was a gunshot wound of the chest and his death was ruled a homicide, the coroner's office said Saturday.

Anthony Glasper, 34, left the scene of the shooting but returned later and was arrested, police said. He was booked into the Las Vegas City Jail on one count of murder with a deadly weapon and ex-felon in possession of a gun.

Police said Glasper and Moten knew each other and were in an argument inside a home. The situation "escalated" into a shooting, police said, and the wounded man ran outside and collapsed on a driveway.
