Coroner identifies teen found shot to death Saturday

The teen who was fatally shot in the northwest valley early Saturday was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office on Monday.

DeMario Charles Hughes, 17, address unknown, was found by Las Vegas police about 4 a.m. in the 6200 block of Ilanos Lane, near Lake Mead and Jones Boulevard. Hughes was found on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Homicide detectives believe Hughes was seen falling out of the passenger side of a red 2005 Hyundai Accent, Nevada license plates 953LHT, police said.

No arrests have been made.

Investigators are looking for 27-year-old Stacey Thomas as a person of interest. Police said she stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 285 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
