The bicyclist who died in a hit-and-run crash in the east valley on Sunday morning was identified Tuesday by the Clark County coroner’s office.
Star Laine Walters, 33, was struck and killed about 4:30 a.m. Sunday near East Charleston Boulevard, just west of North Nellis Boulevard.
A driver called police when they noticed Walters laying motionless in the street, Las Vegas police said.
She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Witnesses told officers that a dark gray car —possibly a Dodge Charger — struck Walters’ blue 18-speed Univega. The driver of that car, which should have significant damage to the front right side, fled the scene, police said.
