Coroner IDs pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on Tropicana at Jones

The pedestrian killed Wednesday in a hit-and-run crash has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
Charles Andrew Hayden, 27, was crossing the 6000 block of West Tropicana Avenue, at the intersection with South Jones Boulevard, about 6 a.m. when a vehicle heading west on Tropicana struck him, Las Vegas police said. The impact threw Hayden into a small palm tree, where he died from his injuries.
The driver of the car fled the scene after the accident, according to Metro.
