Coroner IDs woman found stabbed to death in apartment
The Clark County coroner's office on Sunday identified a woman found stabbed to death in a central valley apartment Saturday morning.
Dorothy Larry, 69, died from multiple stab wounds to the chest, coroner's office staff said Sunday. The man accused in her slaying, with whom Las Vegas police said she was in a "dating relationship" with, was arrested in San Bernardino, Calif. shortly after Larry's body was found.
Police conducted a welfare check about 10:30 a.m. at Rancho Verde Apartments, 98 S. Martin Luther King Blvd. The man accused in her death, who has not been identified, called multiple family members and told them "something bad had happened" and that he had "hurt someone," police said.
The family alerted police who found Larry's body in the Las Vegas apartment. Shortly after, the man accused in her slaying was arrested without further incident in San Bernardino. He will be extradited back to Las Vegas, police said.
