Jewel, Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue: Jewel is a 1-year-old female terrier who was a scared and nervous stray. She bonds quickly and wants to be with you. She is a little territorial, but it does not seem to be a problem. She gets along with people, especially teenagers, and dogs. She is playful. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Josh, Animal Network: Sweet Josh feels most comfortable in the safe arms of his humans. Josh is a friendly little guy, but he can be shy at first. He would do best in a relatively quiet home with older kids because he is so small and shy. Josh is house-trained and does well with other dogs. He is 4 years old and weighs approximately 5 pounds. Call 702-582-7534 or email animalnetworklv@gmail.com.

Norton, All Fur Love: Norton is an active boy full of excitement and charisma. He loves toys and needs an active family who will enjoy his antics. Norton was born Jan. 9 and is neutered, current on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative and microchipped. Visit allfurloveanimalsociety.org, call 702-362-5617 or email at adoptions@allfurloveanimalsociety.org.

Spencer, Happy Home: Spencer is a super friendly, super affectionate tan and white boy. He’s a real lover. Two years old, he lost his home when someone developed allergies. He’s neutered and has his shots. Call 702-810-6687 or visit happyhomeanimalsanctuary.org.

Hilary, The Animal Foundation: My name is Hilary (ID No. A841995), and I’m a sweet, 6-year-old spayed female Chihuahua. I love brisk walks and running around in the grass. I walk well on my leash and can be enticed to sit with yummy treats, too! I’m a good girl who can’t wait to find my forever home, so meet me at The Animal Foundation and let’s start our lives together! Visit animalfoundation.com or email adoptions@animalfoundation.com.

Coby & Candy, NSPCA: In this beautiful, chaotic world that can often be cruel, all we have is each other. We are Coby and Candy, young toy and terrier mixes, 2-3 years of age and spayed/neutered, house-trained and bonded for life as soulmates. Please accept our love in exchange for a stable, lifelong home. Visit nevadaspca.org or call 702-873-7722.

Jan Sneed of Centennial Hills said, “Suzie is probably about 14 years old and weighs 5 pounds — she’s a little lady. Suzie had a rough time as a young cat: She was abused, abandoned and traveled around with a gang of larger cats. A nice elderly lady in Florida was feeding the stray cats in the area, and Suzie ran into the nice lady’s house and allowed herself to be adopted. When the nice lady, the mother of one of my close friends, was moved to an assisted living residence in New Jersey, Suzie accompanied her. When my friend’s mother died, Suzie went to live with my friend in a gorgeous loft in New York City. Since being adopted by my friend and her mother, Suzie grew healthier. When my friend died, I adopted Suzie and brought her back to Vegas to live with me. Having Suzie in my life is a total joy.”

Vicki Levy of southwest Las Vegas said, “My name is Kobi. I’m a 2-year-old Great Dane rescue from The Animal Foundation who is the biggest goof ball ever.”
