A drunken driver crashed a vehicle into a taxi, seriously injuring the driver, and then into an airport shuttle bus, injuring two others in the central valley early Thursday morning, Las Vegas police said.
The taxi driver was listed in serious condition but was expected to survive and the cited driver and two people in the bus suffered injuries not considered life-threatening, Metro spokeswoman officer Laura Meltzer said. All four were taken to University Medical Center.
First responders were called about 1:50 a.m. to the intersection of Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards, Meltzer said. The cited driver crashed a vehicle into a cab, sending it into a utility pole. The first vehicle then spun into the shuttle bus.
The driver of the first vehicle was cited for DUI and police were waiting for medical clearance before booking that person, Meltzer said.
