FBI agent: Indiana man did not know Jerad and Amanda Miller

HAMMOND, Ind. — An FBI agent says there’s no evidence that an Indiana man accused of threatening judges and police officers knew a couple who killed two Las Vegas police officers and a Wal-Mart shopper earlier this month.

Samuel Bradbury of Pine Village appeared for a probable cause hearing in U.S. District Court in Hammond on Monday on charges tied to the alleged threats.

Police say Bradbury posted statements online that included death threats against two judges and two law enforcement officers.

Attorney Ashwin Cattamanchi says Bradbury was exercising his free speech rights and that his comments were satire.

FBI agent Troy Wohlfert says investigators have found no evidence supporting Bradbury’s claim of ties to Jerad and Amanda Miller, who killed Las Vegas officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo.

Bradbury was ordered held without bond.
