Firefighter hospitalized by trailer fire
A Clark County firefighter was sent to the hospital with minor injuries from a burning tractor trailer Sunday night.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to the 6300 block of Sunset Corporate Drive, near Sunset and Pecos roads, at 7:21 p.m., according to the department. It was first thought to be a building fire, but arriving units found a semi-tractor trailer on fire near multiple buildings.
Crews were able to keep the blaze from spreading to buildings, but a few boxes caught on fire, the department said. By 9 p.m. firefighters had most of the flames extinguished, but they were still putting out hot spots around the area.
The department said it will investigate the cause of the fire once the area is safe to enter. Estimates for the damage done by the blaze were not available Sunday night.
