Las Vegas man dies 12 days after motorcycle crash

The man who was hospitalized after a crash in the southeast valley on July 20 died Monday, according to Las Vegas police.
About 11:20 a.m., Stephen Striker, 18, of Las Vegas was traveling eastbound on Flamingo Road near South Durango Drive on his motorcycle at a high rate of speed, police said. He over-applied the front brakes, causing the motorcycle to overturn onto its side.
Metro said Striker and the motorcycle hit the back of a GMC Yukon which was also traveling east on Flamingo. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries Monday.
