Las Vegas man indicted in fatal shooting

A Clark County grand jury has indicted a 32-year-old man on a murder charge in a shooting that left another man dead outside a Las Vegas apartment earlier this year, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Randolph McGuire waited for his former girlfriend and her new boyfriend, Tyshon Bowman, to pick up her children at her cousin’s apartment on May 21, prosecutor Jonathan Cooper said.

One of McGuire’s children was also inside the central valley apartment at the time.

When Bowman and the woman approached, McGuire fired one shot that struck Bowman and as he lay on the ground, McGuire fired another shot at the victim’s head, Cooper said.

McGuire, who also faces two counts of possession of a firearm by an ex-felon, is being held at the Clark County Detention Center without bail.
