Las Vegas morning update for Monday, December 18th — VIDEO

Here are your Monday morning headlines:

1. Police are looking for a child who fired a shotgun at a group of people Sunday night. Police say a woman and two male friends arrived at an ex-boyfriends house on Laramie near Robindale and Rainbow for a custody exchange when the ex-boyfriends 12-year-old brother approached the group with a shotgun. After a brief exchange, the boy fired a round into the ground. Police are still searching for the boy.

2. Police are investigating a homicide at a central valley apartment complex. Police responded to an apartment complex on Villa Knolls Drive near Tropicana and Pecos to reports of a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Residents say they heard shots, but no one called police until someone found the man on the ground. His death marks the 212th homicide investigated by Metro police.

3. A bettor at MGM Resorts lost a six-figure bet on the Steelers-Patriots game Sunday afternoon. After a referee deemed Steelers tight end Jesse James’ touchdown overturned because it didn’t “survive” going to the ground, Ben Roethlisberger threw an interception to end the game and give New England the 27-24 win, which closed as a 3-point favorite. The Mirage sports book director said it was one of the top 10 bad beats of the season.
