Las Vegas police seek help to identify shooting suspects

Las Vegas police need help identifying two suspects in a Wednesday night shooting that left one man dead, police said Thursday.

Officers responded shortly before 9 p.m. to the Food 4 Less at Sahara Avenue and Nellis Boulevard. They found a man who had died from a gunshot wound, Lt. Barb Schmidt said.

The victim was walking in an alleyway behind the store when he encountered two men, police said.

A gunshot followed a verbal altercation between the two men and the victim. The men sped off in a dark-colored sedan eastbound on Sahara Avenue, police said.

One of the men who fled wore a black shirt and jeans while the other wore a gray shirt and shorts. Their race is unknown, police said.

The identity of the victim was not available from the Clark County coroner’s office as of Thursday morning.
