A man was shot multiple times in the central valley Tuesday night, according to Las Vegas police.
Emergency crews responded about 9:20 p.m. to the 1100 block of West Monroe Avenue, near the intersection of West Owens Avenue and North Martin Luther King Boulevard, where a man had been shot six or seven times, Metro Lt. David Gordon said.
He was exiting a housing complex there when another man, who was crossing the street, fired several rounds at him, Metro said.
Police said the shooting may be gang related.
The man who was shot was taken to a hospital for emergency surgery, Gordon said.
Metro had no update on his condition Wednesday, and his name was not provided.
