Man, woman killed in stolen motorcycle crash identified

A man and woman who died after crashing what police said was a stolen motorcycle Monday night have been identified.

They are Heather Brashear, 19, of Henderson and Charles Emmet Good, 44, of Las Vegas, the Clark County coroner's office said Tuesday.

The crash happened about 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Oakey Boulevard and Duneville Street, according to a Metro news release sent Tuesday.

The two were riding a 2009 Yamaha R1 at a high rate of speed westbound on Oakey when they entered the path of a 2010 Mazda 6, the release said.

Brashear and Good were pronounced dead at the scene. They are the 85th and 86th traffic-related fatalities in Metro's jurisdiction this year.

The driver of the Mazda, Peter Umoh, 56, and his 3-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.
