Man wounded in central Las Vegas Valley shooting

A man was hospitalized after a shooting in the central Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

Officers responded to calls at 1:04 p.m. about a shooting near the corner of Glade Street and Spring Valley Parkway, just east of Rainbow Boulevard, officer Larry Hadfield said.

They found a man with a gunshot wound to a leg, Hadfield said. He was taken to University Medical Center to treat the wound, which does not appear to be life-threatening, Hadfield said.

Police do not have anyone in custody in connection with the shooting.
