Metro arrests motorcyclists causing traffic trouble around Las Vegas

Metro spent about four hours Sunday keeping watch over a group of motorcyclists interfering with traffic throughout Las Vegas, including the Strip.

Lt. Jeff Goodwin said that officers and a helicopter began pursuing between 17 and 30 motorcyclists who had been performing tricks, taking selfies and ignoring law enforcement attempts to stop them starting about 2 p.m.

Goodwin said that the group did not seem to have any gang affiliations. They were "just a bunch of street riders trying to take over the streets for a day," he said.

Metro officers arrested several riders, Goodwin said, and the group's antics ended afterward.
