Metro arrests woman after knifing, apartment standoff
Las Vegas police arrested a woman in a locked apartment near the Strip after they say she cut a man during an argument.
SWAT team negotiators responded to the 300 block of East Harmon Avenue, near Koval Lane, when the woman locked herself inside at 2:38 p.m. Thursday.
A Metro spokesman said officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in an apartment complex just a few blocks east of the Planet Hollywood Resort. There they found a man who had been cut with a knife.
The man’s injuries were not life-threatening and he was sent to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said.
Police later said the woman was taken into custody without incident.
Officers couldn’t say whether they had previously been called to the apartment.
