Metro’s hazardous material unit investigated a suspicious “possible device” found near UNLV on Wednesday, and everything turned out to be safe.
Las Vegas police supervisor Lt. Patrick Charoen said the all-hazard ARMOR response unit was dispatched to the 1500 block of East Rochelle Avenue, two blocks east of the university, just before 4 p.m.
Charoen could not confirm what the item was but said it was determined to be safe at 5:45 p.m.
