Metro seeks men involved in purse snatching

Metro robbery detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspected purse snatchers.

According to police, two men approached a woman in the parking lot of a business near the intersection of Serene and Eastern avenues on July 3. The men grabbed the shopper’s purse with enough force to cause her to fall to the ground.

The men ran to a dark vehicle and fled the scene, Las Vegas police said.

Police released surveillance images of the men in question on Friday. One man is described as being between 25 and 30 years old and weighing about 180 pounds. Police said he is about 5 feet 9 inches tall, has a goatee and cornrows. He wore a blue-and-black striped short-sleeve shirt.

The other man is described as being in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He wore a dark long-sleeve jacket with stripes down the sleeves and khaki pants.
