Nevada inmate found hanged in cell
An inmate committed suicide Wednesday at High Desert State Prison, according to a release from the Nevada Department of Corrections.
James Scholl, 45 was found hanged in his cell. Attempts to ressucitate him failed, and he was pronounced dead at the prison located 30 miles north of Las Vegas.
Scholl was serving a life sentence without parole for first degree murder, and several consecutive sentences for use of a deadly weapon enhancement, kidnapping and robbery.
This is the third suicide at a Nevada corrections facility this year.
