Pedestrian dies despite witness administering CPR after southeast Las Vegas crash

A woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle near Eastern and Sahara avenues Thursday night.

The woman was hit just after 9 p.m., Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Richard Strader said. At least one person at the scene tried to administer CPR, but the woman later died at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center.

Police did not name the woman. The Clark County coroner will identify her once her family has been notified.

As of Thursday night, it was unclear if the woman was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash. The driver stayed on the scene.
