Pedestrian who died of injuries from April hit-and-run crash identified

Las Vegas police on Tuesday identified the pedestrian who died April 26 after an April 6 crash in the south central valley.

Just before 5 a.m. April 6, George Schwab, 84, was walking in the roadway on East Robindale Road west of South Bower Drive when witnesses say he was struck by a vehicle, police said. Schwab was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center’s trauma facility with critical injuries.

Police said the vehicle, described as a black 2003 to ­2007 Honda Accord, left the scene.

On April 26, the Clark County coroner’s office told Metro’s fatal detail that Schwab died of his injuries at Nathan Adelson Hospice.
