Police ask for public’s help to find missing North Las Vegas man

Police are asking for the public’s help to locate an 84-year-old North Las Vegas man who was reported missing by his family Tuesday morning.

According to his family, Jerry Turner is believed to have walked away from his home in the area of Alexander Road and Kings Hill Road early Tuesday morning. His family reported that he suffers from early onset dementia and gets confused very easily.

He is battling cancer and is currently receiving treatment, his family said. Turner has done this once before and was found confused.

North Las Vegas police described Turner as a black male who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has grey hair and brown eyes. Turner was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with a white eagle on the front, blue jeans, black shoes and a black and white “Las Vegas” hat, police said.
