Police investigate stabbing at central Las Vegas Valley post office

A central valley post office's parking lot was the site of a stabbing early Tuesday, according to Las Vegas police.

It happened outside the U.S. Postal Service office at 4030 S. Jones Boulevard, near the intersection at Flamingo Road, Metro said.

Police arrived about 8:50 a.m. and found one man who had been stabbed in the shoulder with a knife, with wounds that were not considered life-threatening. Another man was taken into custody.

The two men, who are roommates, had gotten into an argument, police said. But it wasn't clear what exactly they were arguing about.

Employees weren't aware of what was going on until they saw Metro pull up, according to postal service spokeswoman Zena Rabang. No post office employees were involved.
