Police: Juvenile thrown from car in crash on Buffalo at Rochelle

A two-vehicle crash on Buffalo Drive at Rochelle Avenue on Monday sent one child to the hospital, according to Las Vegas police.

Police said a child who is 5 or 6 was thrown from a vehicle in the collision. They couldn’t not say whether the child was a boy or girl. The child went to University Medical Center with minor injuries. Police initially said at least three people were sent to a hospital.

The crash happened just after 3 p.m., when a car was eastbound on Rochelle when the driver attempted to turn at the intersection at Buffalo. The second car was southbound on Buffalo when it hit the first car, causing it to spin.

The juvenile flew out of an open window when the car was hit. Police do not know if the child was wearing a seat-belt.
