Power outage reported in northwest Las Vegas Valley

Power has been restored to a northwest valley neighborhood after more than 2,000 people were without electricity late Monday morning, according to NV Energy’s outage site.

The site showed 2,194 accounts were without power near Elkhorn and Fort Apache Roads about 11:45 a.m. The outage was first reported just before 10 a.m., the site said.

Power was restored by 12:20 p.m., according to NV Energy’s outage map.

NV Energy was not immediately available to comment on the cause of the outage.

The power company’s site also showed 64 people without power near Craig and Losee roads and 55 people without power near Hualapai and West Deer Springs ways.

The outage near Craig and Losee was reported about 8:25 a.m. and was caused by a vehicle crash, the site said. The outage near Hualapai and Deer Springs was first reported about 10:30 a.m. and did not have a cause listed.
