Road reopens after crash involving motorcycle, school bus

A northwest valley intersection has reopened after a four-vehicle accident involving a school bus, Las Vegas police said.

Metro officers were called to the crash at 3:30 p.m. after motorcycle, a bus and two cars collided in the intersection of Ann Road and Jones Boulevard, said Metro Officer Larry Hadfield.

The motorcyclist, whose age and gender weren't available, was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, Hadfield said.

Seven students from Kay Carl Elementary School were on the bus, said Clark County School District spokesman Dave Sheehan.

"We were told no one on the bus was injured," Sheehan said.

Another bus was dispatched "pretty quick" to take those students home, he said.

The intersection of Ann and Jones was closed until about 8:45 p.m., according to the Regional Transportation Commission.
