The woman who died Thursday morning following a multi-vehicle crash near Sahara Avenue and Fremont Street has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
Claudia Bustamante, 38, of Las Vegas was driving a motorized scooter with another female passenger when they were thrown off about 6:40 a.m. Bustamante was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Las Vegas police said the accident happened when a 2000 Honda Civic southbound on Fremont Street ran a red light and created a chain reaction, involving four other vehicles and the scooter Bustamante was driving.
