Suspect from November murder is arrested in Indiana

A suspect in a Las Vegas homicide from November was arrested in Indiana on Thursday, Las Vegas police said.

Metro has been searching for a person of interest in this case, who reportedly went by the name "Seven" since shortly after the incident.

Damien Ford, also known as "Seven," was arrested in Indianapolis for an outstanding warrant associated with the Nov. 23 homicide of 39-year-old Dwayne Autry Taylor. Taylor was shot to death at an apartment complex at 5801 W. Lake Mead Boulevard, near Jones Boulevard.

The initial investigation suggested there was a physical altercation in the apartment parking lot between Taylor and the shooter before the incident, police said.

Police and medical personnel arrived at the scene and found Taylor unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at University Medical Center, police said.

Taylor died of gunshot wounds to the chest, the Clark County coroner said.

This was the 116th homicide investigated by Metro in 2015.
