Wildflowers were in bloom Friday — the first day of spring — at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Bicyclists and bees alike found splashes of bright yellow along Lakeshore Drive and the River Mountains Loop Trail.
The River Mountains Loop Trail is a 34.5-mile pedestrian, bike and equestrian path that connects Henderson, Boulder City and Lake Mead National Recreation Area with the rest of the Las Vegas Valley.
The city of Henderson is sponsoring a cleanup of the trail on Saturday morning. For more information call 702-267-4050 or visit cityofhenderson.com.
